RiversEdge has been family-owned and locally operated since 1984, when Rhett Rohrer left a career in computer sales to build something he actually cared about: spending time on the water. He found a stretch of riverfront property along the Little Miami River with natural upstream access points at just the right distances for a float trip, and built the business from there, working evenings and weekends for eight years before going full-time.
Today, Rhett’s wife Brandy handles website development, marketing, and bookkeeping, and their daughter Kate Lamb serves as general manager, running daily operations. Kate has been on the water since she was four years old, and RiversEdge is proud to be a multi-generational business.

The Little Miami is a federally and state-designated Scenic River, one of only three in Ohio. The section our guests float has no houses, almost no man-made structures, and a real wilderness feel that surprises a lot of people who didn’t expect it 30 minutes from Dayton.
Rhett currently serves as president of the Little Miami Conservancy. The Conservancy protects the riparian corridor, monitors water quality 24 hours a day, and advocates for the river when development or contamination threatens it. RiversEdge donates $1 per boat rental to that work automatically, so every trip you take contributes without any extra effort on your part.

Single-person sit-on-top kayaks with a deep backrest and real seat support, intuitive to paddle for just about anyone. Available for both shorter and longer trips.
A solid option for couples or groups who want to share a boat. Our canoes are comfortable, modern plastic hulls, not the aluminum relics you might remember from summer camp.
Small rafts fit 2 to 3 adults, plus kids. Large rafts hold up to 6 adults. Roomy and virtually impossible to tip, rafts are a great option for day camps, youth groups, and anyone who wants extra legroom.
