Our Location

Canoe and Kayak rental reservationRivers Edge Outfitters is located on 45 acres of beautiful riverfront property along one of the least crowded and most secluded sections of the Federal and State Designated Scenic Little Miami River.

Rivers Edge Outfitters is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Dayton, 45 minutes from Cincinnati and a quick one hour drive from Columbus. We are between Bellbrook and Waynesville on U.S. Route 42.

Whatever your pace, we have the ideal canoe or kayak rental trip for you. We also offer two sizes of rafts that are a great way to experience the river.

We are proud to offer the best rental equipment available. While some of our competitors are still renting old aluminum canoes, we rent only the best canoes including Old Town Discovery’s, Wenonah, and our newest addition Paluski; that has a comfortable third seat built in for your third adult or one or two small children.

OUR HOURS OF OPERATION DURING THE MAIN SEASON (JUNE-AUGUST) – WE ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK WITH TRIPS DEPARTING EVERY DAY FROM 10:00 AM TO 4:00 PM.  PLEASE ARRIVE ABOUT 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR TRIP START TIME.

Please note that our hours are weather dependent, particularly in the spring or fall. Even during great weather conditions our hours can be affected by the river level. We recommend you read our informative blog post discussing what river levels mean before your next adventure with RiversEdge.

Kayaking is a Lot of Fun

We believe that we offer the finest kayak rental fleet in the Midwest with kayaks to accommodate most any person, from a 50-lb child to a 300-lb adult.

We offer many different models from Perception, Wilderness Systems, Jackson and Necky.

Our models include both sit-in and sit-on-top kayaks, and both single person and two person (tandem) kayaks.

Most are brand new each year, as we continually sell our kayaks at the end of the season to maintain this level of quality that you cannot find at other rentals.

Never been kayaking? In this video, Rhett takes you on a guided tour of kayaking on the Little Miami River (with lots of video of people having fun kayaking!)

Our facilities are the nicest on the river and include a spacious deck, lounging and refreshment area. We also have restrooms and changing areas available for your convenience.

This being our 32nd season, owners Rhett and Brandy Rohrer are committed to providing you with the best equipment, facilities and service on the Little Miami River. We are confident that this combination adds up to the best value available.

Book Your Trip Online Right Now

You can also get info or make a reservation without prepayment by calling 937-903-6468 or visiting the contact page.

Groups

We have special rates for groups. Discounts on canoe rental rates begin with five canoes. If your group has at least 25 people, you’ll love our Float & Feast package.

This is the 9:00am update. We will be running rafts and kayaks on the short trip only. Some previous padding experience is a good idea. No alcohol will be allowed. No children under 10, and anyone under 18 in a raft only. All these restrictions are for your safety, they are not fun for us either. Please do not come out if you are not completely comfortable with the restrictions. THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE DURING THIS PERIOD OF UNUSUAL RAIN. ... See MoreSee Less
